COMPANY HISTORY

Throughout his childhood Paul always knew he wanted to become a Joiner. After leaving school at the age of 15 he started an apprenticeship in Joinery and Carpentry with Dunfermline District Council. The work was second nature and he was regularly taken on by the tutor as his ‘right hand man’ to help with personal projects. Three years later he successfully passed his training with special merits.

Paul then went on to work with some of the top Window and Joinery Firms being head hunted by companies such as CR Smith, Pennicuik, Allan Brothers, giving him the opportunity to gain further experience in all aspects of house building and joinery work. At the age of 21 he built his first house and set up the company by the age of 25. The workload increased rapidly and a firm of joiners and other tradesmen were employed. The company then diversified to building homes, when architects were sought to compliment the team.

The company is now able to offer a complete service for any building work from drawings to completion. Specialists in all trades are contracted to give an extremely high quality, personal service, by a friendly, efficient and reliable work force. All works are completed with the same attention to detail and end product, no matter how small or large the task.

‘Paul Dow Joinery’s’ largest task was the completion of ‘Kingsview’ in Kinghorn, comprising of four large detached Villas, ten Flats and a top floor Penthouse in 2007.

The slump in the house sale market prompted the company to continue doing more in the extension and home improvement field. It also led to the exciting development of handmade ‘Bespoke’ furniture, which can be made to individual’s requirements and instructions. As with all Paul Dow Joinery products, items are made to the highest standard, using quality products. Prices are given upon receiving individual requirements.

All estimates and advice are given FREE OF CHARGE and no payments are expected ‘up front’ other than a deposit.

You will find many positive customer comments and recommendations and are encouraged to speak to previous customers who will be willing to answer questions and ease any concerns you may have. We at Paul Dow Joinery understand that this may be the largest expense you may ever have (outside a property purchase) and want to ensure your complete satisfaction from start to finish
